Travel and food—two passions that always seem to come together. For me, the highlight of any trip is often the food. There’s something so special about savoring a local dish that connects you with the place you’re visiting. Whether you’re traveling with a passport or exploring close to home, food always brings people together and gives you a taste of the culture and traditions of a place.
My passion for food runs deep. I’ve always loved learning about food history, cultural traditions, and the stories behind every dish. I was fortunate to grow up with my grandmothers, who shared their culinary heritage with me. The lessons they taught me are memories I’ll cherish forever, and it’s a joy for me to keep those traditions alive by sharing them with you.
With a formal education in Foods & Nutrition, I’ve always had a deep respect for the importance of food in our lives. During my years of international business travel, I would always seek out the best local eateries, asking my co-workers to share their favorite spots. These dining experiences are some of my fondest memories, and I carry them with me.
My vision for Joyista Travel is to bring those same memories and culinary adventures to like-minded travelers. As I embark on this next chapter of my life, I’m blending my passions for food and travel into a blog that will share my journeys both domestically and internationally. Whether it’s through group trips, culinary travel offers, or stories from my personal travels, I want to invite you to experience the joy of discovering new places, new tastes, and new memories.
