Pineapple Margarita is one of my summer favorites—its perfect blend of sweet pineapple, tangy lime, and smooth tequila always brings a refreshing tropical escape. Whether lounging by the pool or enjoying a sunset, this cocktail is my go-to for any summer celebration!

Ingredients

Scale

2 oz Tequila (blanco or reposado)

1 oz Triple sec (or orange liqueur)

2 oz Fresh pineapple juice

1 oz Fresh lime juice

1/2 oz Agave syrup or simple syrup (optional, depending on sweetness preference)

Salt or Tajín for rimming the glass (optional)

Pineapple slices and lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Glass:

    • Rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip it into salt or Tajín for an added burst of flavor.

  • Mix the Drink:

    • In a shaker, combine the tequila, triple sec, fresh pineapple juice, lime juice, and agave syrup. Add ice to fill the shaker halfway, then shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.  Not sure how to properly shake a cocktail?  Check out my How to Shake a Cocktail guide!

  • Serve:

    • Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.

  • Garnish:

    • Garnish with a pineapple slice and lime wedge on the rim for a tropical touch.

Notes

Tips:

  • Fresh Pineapple Juice: For the best flavor, use fresh pineapple juice. You can also blend fresh pineapple and strain it for juice if you don’t have it on hand.

  • Tequila Choice: Reposado tequila adds a richer flavor, but blanco tequila will make for a more classic taste.

  • Sweetness: Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more or less agave syrup. You can also use a splash of pineapple syrup if you want extra tropical sweetness.

  • Frozen Version: To make a frozen Pineapple Margarita, blend all ingredients with ice instead of shaking.
